OnePoint will be supporting the UK Trade & Investment (UKTI) at the World Mobile Congress in Barcelona on 11th–14th February. The Congress combines the worlds’ largest exhibition for the mobile industry with a cutting-edge congress featuring the most prominent Chief Executives representing mobile operators, vendors, and content owners from around the globe.
During the event, the UKTI, the government’s international business development organisation, and the companies exhibiting on their stand, will invite delegates for insight on ‘What's hot and what's not?’ for 2008 and delve deeper into inital findings conducted via a pre-event mobile survey. The surveys will be conducted using the latest communication tool of choice - the mobile phone. Each survey will focus on a specific hot topic and the insight gathered will be reported daily at the UKTI stand, where UK industry experts will be on hand to answer questions.
The surveys have been created based on input gathered from a pre-event mobile survey completed by the UK companies participating in the Congress. The survey asks them to share what they think the hot topics will be at the Congress this year and in the mobile environment.
The surveys are designed to be quick and easy and should take participants less than a minute to complete. For UK mobile phone users it will be FREE to send and receive messages and Spanish mobile phone users will only be charged the local rate. mBlox, the world's largest mobile transaction network, powers mobile messaging for OnePoint. mBlox maintains connections to more than 500 mobile operators in 180+ countries through its carrier-grade mobile messaging network.
UKTI aims to raise the profile of UK companies at the Congress and is excited about using the OnePoint mobile survey solution. Andrew Cahn, the chief executive of UK Trade & Investment, said: “The surveys which will be conducted before and during Mobile World Congress will highlight trends at the congress itself as well as more widely in the whole sector.
